In accordance with Article 90 of the Constitution of the Republic of Somaliland and Article 6, Clause 2 of the Amendment and Supplement to the General Law on Elections and Voter Registration in Law No. 91/2023, which requires the President to specify the election period within 15 days of receiving the Electoral Commission’s specification, I, His Excellency Muse Bihi Abdi, President of the Republic of Somaliland, hereby issue the following Presidential Decree:
Referring to document No.: KDG/XK-6/083/2024 dated 20/04/2024, which specifies the election date for the President, Vice President, and National Parties, I hereby announce that the elections for these positions will take place simultaneously on the 13th of November 2024.
