His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi today attended the opening ceremony for the implementation of the Somaliland Youth Development Fund held at the Presidential Palace.
The meeting was attended by members of Somaliland’s House of Representatives, MPs, government officials, youths from different regions of the country and other dignitaries.
Prior to the start, the Director of the Somaliland Youth Development Fund, Khadar Ibrahim, spoke on the occasion and explained the different stages the fund has gone through. After that followed a number of speeches from government officials and guests, all of whom emphasized the importance and benefit of this fund for the youth and the nation of Somaliland.
Finally, the forum was closed by President Bihi, who encouraged all those who can contribute to the fund in any way to act now. The President said that $300,000 was needed to complete its originally intended target of 1 million dollars.
