The President of the Republic of Somaliland, His Excellency Muse Bihi Abdi, and a delegation led by him were welcomed today in Abdaal town in Mandera district.

The people of Abdaal, led by the administration of Madheera district, elders, intellectuals, and community leaders, waved wet leaves and dressed in the flag of the Republic of Somaliland, lined the streets to welcome the president and his delegation.

President Bihi Abdi waved to the people of Abdaal, who cheered and expressed their joy at his visit.

After the reception, the president and his delegation met with the people of Abdaal. Traditional leaders, politicians, and other leaders spoke at the meeting, thanking the president for his visit and discussing the government’s development projects in the district.

The Minister of Family, Labor, and Social Affairs, Mr. Ali Omar Mohamud (Ali Khoor Khoor), said that the people of Abdaal are known for their hospitality and that the government has done a lot to improve the lives of the people in the district.

President Bihi Abdi concluded the meeting by urging the people of Abdaal to maintain peace and unity. He said, “We must all work together for peace and development.” The president also attended a graduation ceremony for 530 soldiers who completed training at the Madheera Training School in Mandera district.
